Your data on TrackMyRide
TrackMyRide is run by NodeMint in Sri Lanka. We collect only what the service needs to work, and we don't sell or share it for advertising.
What we collect
- Passengers: your name, your mobile number, the route and stop your transport operator invited you to, whether you're travelling on a given day, and the notifications we send you. We don't collect your email, a password or your phone's location.
- Drivers and owners: name, email, mobile number and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Vehicles: the position, speed and time reported by the GPS tracker fitted in the vehicle, and the trips it makes.
- Your phone: a notification token so we can send you alerts, and the app version.
- This website: what you send us through the contact form. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who can see it
- Passengers see only their own route's vehicle, and only while the service is running. They never see other passengers.
- Your transport operator sees its own vehicles, routes, passengers and their travel days, so it can run the service.
- NodeMint staff see data only to operate and support the service.
Where it is kept and for how long
Data is stored on our servers and backed up nightly. Vehicle positions are deleted after 90 days. If a passenger is removed by their operator, their account is deactivated and their stop assignments are deleted.
Services we use
Google Firebase delivers notifications to phones; Google Maps draws the maps. They receive only what they need for that.
Your choices
You can turn notifications off in the app or in your phone's settings, and ask your transport operator or us to remove your account. To ask what we hold about you, or anything else about privacy, contact us at hello@nodemint.dev or +94 71 377 2428.
